Learning Specialist
This department assesses and facilitates meetings and implements programs for students who have high needs, ie. Special Education, Gifted and Talented, and 504 Plans for disabilities of all kinds. Once assessed, students are served in accordance to their needs with special programming along with assisting teachers to make accommodations in the general classroom. Students are served in the general classroom, in small groups and individually according to their needs.

is the Learning Specialist at CSEC and has been in education for the past four years. She is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio and moved to Colorado a few years ago. She received her Bachelor's degree in Mental Health and Human Services from Northern Kentucky University and her Master's in Special Education from Grand Canyon University. She is a "tomboy" to the core and loves many different sports. She spent many summers working for a summer camp leading adolescents in team building and teaching them outdoor activities such as rock climbing, water skiing, and putting them through high ropes course challenges. She enjoys the mountains as well as hiking, snowboarding and camping. She spends most of her free time outdoors with her husband Eric and dog, Denali.
