Informational Meetings

 

The remaining Informational Meeting in May and Accuplacer testing will be held on Friday, May 16th at 6:00 p.m. at CTU. 

 

Informational meetings are held in room 113 and Accuplacer testing in rooms 131-132.   All NEW students are required to complete the Accuplacer testing and fill out an application packet before they are issued a Certificate of Enrollment.  PLEASE CALL 955-4675 AND SIGN UP FOR THE ACCUPLACER TESTING.  SPACE IS LIMITED.  

We will hold two Informational Meetings in both June and July.  The meetings in June are scheduled for Friday, the 13th and 27th.  In July, they are scheduled for Friday, July 11th and 25th.  We are getting close to our enrollment cap.  We will continue to hold these meetings until we begin to create a waiting list.  

 

College Registrations

 

Our current CSEC students who are planning to take courses at CTU have already turned in their College Course Registrations to Mr. Englund. 

For our returning CSEC students who are planning to take college courses at PPCC or UCCS, and for ALL STUDENTS NEWLY ENROLLED at CSEC this fall who are college ready, we will be holding a college planning and registration meeting on Wednesday, May 21st, 2008 at CSEC in room 409, the multipurpose room at 6 p.m.  Each student will receive a packet of information.  If you cannot attend, please make alternative arrangements with the College Advisor, Kevin Moore.     

 

In preparation for this meeting there is a link included below to a registration form you may wish to download and bring to the meeting. 

For a brief description of the course content offered through CTU, you may download the Fall 2008 Course Listings, a link to which is also included below.

For students who wish to take courses at UCCS or PPCC, Mr. Kevin Moore will be available at the meeting on May 21st to help you fill out the appropriate paperwork and get a copy of the enrollment procedures you are to follow.  Mr. Moore can also be found during the day in his office just off of the cafeteia, or by calling him at (719) 491 - 6842.

College Grade Checks

Parents are used to getting progress reports on their high school students.  To date we have not been able to provide these types of progress reports for our students attending college classes.  We have made arrangements for that to change for our students attending college classes at CTU.  Parents can now download a form, print it out, sign it, and send it with their student to their college professors who will fill out the grade check.  Parents may request a grade check as often as they wish, by simply printing out another form and sending it with their student to their college professors.

Re-Enrolling in the 2008-2009 school year

Students currently enrolled in grades 9 through 11 in the Colorado Springs Early Colleges are automatically enrolled in the next school year.  If you do not intend to stay in our school, please let us know now so that we may open your slot for a new student.

We have also extended our Refer a Friend program, which allows staff, parents and/or students to earn $100 per student that they refer to our school.  The Refer a Friend form (click here) has all the information you need.  Please help us grow our school by enrolling your friends in our school.

You can check your student's attendance by logging on to PowerSchool.  The website is:  http://csec-co.powerschool.com
